That\u2019s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:inherit\">\n<p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job description:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Overall Job Purpose<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting into the Superintendent Aggregate crusher, the Coordinator Mechanical is accountable to direct and coordinate all equipment activities to provide reliable and capable production equipment to deliver and exceed targets;<\/li>\n<li>The \u2018equipment owner\u2019 &#8211; the role covers crushing (primary, secondary, screens and conveyors),<\/li>\n<li>The role is accountable to implement the operating procedures, guidelines, systems and processes for all crushing\/conveying equipment to maximise production and minimise costs, while ensuring operational sustainability;<\/li>\n<li>The role has a focus on daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><b>Specific Job Responsibility<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand and execute accountabilities of legal appointment under Zambian Mining Regulations;<\/li>\n<li>The role has direct equipment accountability from the Aggregate crusher plant maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with site HSE standards and procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Investigate all appropriate equipment related Safety and Environmental incidents and implement actions;<\/li>\n<li>Identify and prioritise plant housekeeping efforts and ensure tasks are actioned;<\/li>\n<li>Consistently deliver and exceed the main KPI\u2019s of crusher availability<\/li>\n<li>Oversee day-to-day maintenance of the crusher\/conveying circuits to ensure optimised plant utilization and compliance to operating procedures, strategies &amp; instructions;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor, control and report on plant equipment status, performance indicators, plant activities, operational shortfalls and corrective actions;<\/li>\n<li>Issue Daily Mechanical Instructions to shift teams on key equipment and operational parameters, tasks and considerations;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Specific Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend morning shift supervisor handover meetings, clarify plant status, and challenge Shift Supervisor on performance against operating systems compliance and delivery of instructions;<\/li>\n<li>Support the teams and Supervisor Maintenance in the immediate performance of the equipment, but maintain focus on the daily to weekly optimisation horizon;<\/li>\n<li>Implement operational check- and log-sheets for shift teams to monitor equipment status and take prompt and appropriate corrective action;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high level of field presence;<\/li>\n<li>Personally conduct routine daily field checks of equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Execute improvement activities;<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose plant defects, focusing on identifying root cause, and implement both corrective and preventative measures;<\/li>\n<li>Approve work requests and develop weekly maintenance plan in conjunction with maintenance planners and supervisors;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in development of short term and long term equipment maintenance plans and schedules to deliver equipment capability;<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to implement long term fixes to deliver equipment reliability;<\/li>\n<li>Support maintenance in the delivery of their tasks and coordinate access;<\/li>\n<li>Manage and define work plans for cleaning contractors and\/or mobile equipment (both hired and FQM owned);<\/li>\n<li>Identify, prioritise and justify capital improvement projects;<\/li>\n<li>Coach, mentor and assist in the training of the Supervisor Maintenance and field personnel to build and maintain high standards of operating;<\/li>\n<li>Control and reduce maintenance costs;<\/li>\n<li>Uphold the FQM Way culture of \u201cSmarter, Bolder, Driven;\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><b>Key Job Attributes<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to SHEC performance;<\/li>\n<li>Very strong drive and personal sense of equipment ownership and accountability;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent ability to task assign, build working relations and coordinate different operating disciplines to execute work in efficient manner;<\/li>\n<li>Possesses skills for identifying equipment bottlenecks and implementing corrective and preventative actions;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work and manage problems\/actions across short &#043; long term timeframes;<\/li>\n<li>Possess ability to analyse and understand metallurgical &amp; equipment information;<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous operating mineral processing plants;<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills, and able to assemble data and provide clear and accurate performance reports &amp;
