That\u2019s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:inherit\">\n<p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job description:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span>Purpose<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Optimisation of flotation circuits to achieve target recovery and quality concentrate grade through monitoring of daily performance, identifying gaps in performance and developing both short- and medium-term solutions to close the gap.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b><span>Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support to operation team to maintain optimum plant performance.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Hot floats to direct operations finding best operating strategy for given ore body<\/li>\n<li>Optimise operational strategies and provide daily input and analyse daily operation data<\/li>\n<li>Develop an in depth understanding of the flotation Metallurgical Process at KMP<\/li>\n<li>Trouble shooting poor recovery, concentrate grade, under performance of equipment via audits, data analyses and lab float test work<\/li>\n<li>Conducting plant surveys and interpreting results.<\/li>\n<li>Develop new and update existing dashboards to provide guidelines to operations personnel<\/li>\n<li>Conduct technical audits to identify deviations from provided design and operational variables, propose, and implement remedies to optimise unit operations (like Jameson\/columns)<\/li>\n<li>Inspection of key equipment in flotation and assist in developing predictive maintenance plans<\/li>\n<li>Developing mass balance, assisting in the evaluation of test\/plant data<\/li>\n<li>Liaise and communicate verbally and in writing with other sections and departments to ensure timely availability of relevant information to appropriate personnel for efficient plant performance.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to statutory and domestic regulations particularly those regarding to safe working practices in order to minimise injury to personnel and damage to company assets. Implement and update the quality assurance system, documentation etc.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as required,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span>Qualifications<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a degree or diploma in metallurgy or relevant discipline or qualification acceptable to become a member of the engineering institute of Zambia as per Act No.27 of 1992.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate (Microsoft)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span>Experience<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 2-years relevant experience in a plant environment is desired<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, data analyses and cognitive skills.
