<\/span><span>aimed<\/span><span> at improving plant performance. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>The role will <\/span><span>carry out tasks <\/span><span>allocated<\/span><span> by the Senior Metallurgist i<\/span><span>n the context of assessing performance of the nickel processing plant with the final <\/span><span>objective<\/span><span> of effectively contributing <\/span><span>to the plant meeting <\/span><span>prod<\/span><span>uction and performance targets; participating<\/span><span> and lead<\/span><span>ing<\/span><span> process performance analysis and improvement initiatives.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Specific<\/b><b> Job Responsibility<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>I<\/span><span>dentifying<\/span><span>,<\/span><span> analysing, troubleshooting, <\/span><span>understanding<\/span><span> and developing solutions to both emer<\/span><span>gent problems and opportunities.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Lead the i<\/span><span>dentification, detailed <\/span><span>planning<\/span><span> and high-quality execution of metallurgical projects to optimise the process plant performance<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the nickel plant<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Consistently deliver and exceed the main KPI\u2019s of <\/span><span>timely<\/span><span> (sampling, <\/span><span>analysis<\/span><span> and reporting) and <\/span><span>accurate<\/span><span> metallurgical analysis.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Developing operating methods and standard operating procedures related to operational, metallurgical and process engineering tasks<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Provide technical support and troubleshooting to the operations team to a<\/span><span>chieve plant production targets.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Monitoring and reporting on short term metallurgical events and implement control strategies, including optimizing addition rates, and <\/span><span>monitoring<\/span><span> the consumption of all concentrator reagents<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Identifying<\/span><span> and implementing continuous improvement projects<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Facilitate data acquisition, warehousing, accessibility, distribution, and analytics<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Control and reduce operational costs<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Perform any o<\/span><span>ther duties as assigned by the s<\/span><span>upervisor<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span>Job Specific<\/span><span> <\/span><span>Competencies\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Strong <\/span><span>I.T skills.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Strong <\/span><span>understanding of complex metallurgical information, process improvement and control strategies<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Good cognitive and analytical skills for <\/span><span>identifying<\/span><span> process shortfalls, bottlenecks and implementing metallurgical testing<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Basic health and safety knowledge including job safety analysis.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span>Key <\/span><span>Job Attributes<\/span><\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must be thorough and detail oriented<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must be dependable and self-motivated<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must have excellent communication and interpersona<\/span><span>l s<\/span><span>kills<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Ability to interact with people of <\/span><span>different cultures<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must be a fast learner<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Flexible towards working in variety of work areas (rigs, sampling handling facility, min<\/span><span>eralogy preparation laboratory).<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must be bold, <\/span><span>smart<\/span><span> and driven<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must be able t<\/span><span>o work under pressure and multi-<\/span><span>task<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Must be adaptable and a t<\/span><span>eam player<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span><span>Work safely and to regulations &#8211;
