PURPOSE<\/b><\/p>\n
To assess the work environment by conducting occupational hazard monitoring through the use of industrial hygiene instruments and carrying our industrial hygiene quantitative risk assessments and surveys so as to ensure employees are not exposed to adverse occupational health hazards.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legislative requirements pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Conduct routine, ad hoc and industrial hygiene monitoring surveys and evaluate occupational hazards in the workplace to ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards, practices and legislation.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Conduct comprehensive industrial hygiene surveys and both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments in the work place so as to evaluate employee exposure profiles.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Accurately measure and sample employee exposure levels through precise use of industrial hygiene instruments and equipment.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Accurately monitor adherence to industrial hygiene procedures in the workplace.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Recommend effective remedies or controls for the various occupational health hazards.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Produce user-friendly internal reports and other statistical information for updating existing industrial hygiene register and data bank.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Work as a reliable team member to meet industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety objectives.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Keep up to date with relevant scientific and legal developments related to industrial hygiene and occupational health.
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Carry out gas testing for entry into a confined space to ensure safety of occupants.\u00a0
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Adhere to all safety and health regulations, rules, guidelines and instructions to avoid any incidents\/accidents.

QUALIFICATIONS<\/b>
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Professional Qualification: Diploma or Degree in field related to Industrial Hygiene.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Technologist Qualification i.e. ICertOHTA or equivalent.<\/p>\n
