This includes any mine design requirement<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Specific Job Responsibility <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mine production scheduling and alignment to the medium term plan to achieve desired outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Be first point of contact for the mining production team regarding planning of load and haul operations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that equipment are being applied optimally in suitable conditions<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high performing service support functions<\/li>\n<li>Issuing of mining control data to be used by surveyors<\/li>\n<li>Plan, organize and follow up on work, ensuring that tasks and schedules are fully understood within the team, handing over or escalating as required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure relevant mining production personnel are up to date on any changes in the mine plan.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain procedures where required<\/li>\n<li>Documentation of relevant knowledge and upskilling of the assistant Mining Engineers<\/li>\n<li>Continuous commitment to health and safety practises.<\/li>\n<li>Advise and provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities in work processes.<\/li>\n<li>Be accountable for the quality of service and performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Job Specific Competencies <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced mining knowledge and experience<\/li>\n<li>Advanced skills in the MS office suite and mine scheduling software<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in the delivery of a wide range of mine planning services, able to provide the highest level of customer support, with excellent leadership and people management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Operational skills to include troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Strong and motivated team lead with well-developed interpersonal, collaboration and facilitation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Time management &#8211; having the ability to work on multiple activities and manage competing priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key Job Attributes<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Motivated &amp; passionate<\/li>\n<li>Self-disciplined<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Able to engage with stakeholders at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiastic<\/li>\n<li>Holistic understanding of the mining process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience required to perform in this job<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5&#043; years\u2019 experience in a large hard rock open pit mining environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in mine scheduling.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to multicultural environments.<\/li>\n<li>Work experience in the mining sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B Eng.
